No clicking through forms. No copy-pasting keywords. No manual uploads.
The creator has been in print-on-demand for 9 years. He built this in one week with OpenClaw and said it solved a problem he'd been fighting for nearly a decade: the soul-crushing repetition of processing and uploading designs one by one.
Why This Works
If you sell on Amazon Merch, you know the drill. For every single design, you need to:
- Remove the background (if it has one)
- Upscale to at least 4500x5400 pixels
- Reposition and pad the design so it sits right on the shirt
- Go to Amazon's upload page
- Pick a product type
- Upload the image
- Write a title with keywords
- Write bullet points
- Write a description

This agent doesn't just automate the clicks. It makes decisions. A 1000-pixel image needs 4x upscaling. A 2000-pixel image only needs 2x. A design with a white background needs background removal. A transparent PNG doesn't. A summer beach design goes on light colors. A neon skull goes on black. The agent figures this out by analyzing each image before processing it.

How It Works
The Folder Watch
Everything starts with a folder on your computer. The agent monitors it. The moment a new image appears, the pipeline kicks off.
This means you can feed it from anywhere. Sitting at your desk? Drag and drop. On your phone at a coffee shop? Save an image to your Dropbox folder, it syncs to your PC, and the agent picks it up. Generate something in ChatGPT? Save it to the folder. The entry point is always the same.
Smart Image Analysis
Before doing anything, the agent looks at the image and makes decisions:
- 4500x5400 already? Skip straight to listing creation.
- 3600x3600? No upscaling needed, just reposition to 4500x5400.
- 1000px wide? Needs 4x upscale to clear the 3000px minimum.
- 2000px wide? Only 2x upscale, don't go to 8000px unnecessarily.
- Has a background? Route through background removal first.
- Already transparent? Skip removal, go straight to upscaling.
This isn't a rigid script that runs the same steps every time. The agent adapts to each image.
Background Removal + Upscaling
The agent opens PixelCut (or whatever service you configure) in the browser, uploads the image, removes the background, then upscales it by the right multiplier. It downloads the result and moves to the next step.
Repositioning
Amazon wants exactly 4500x5400 pixels. Most designs aren't that ratio. The agent opens a repositioning tool (the creator built his own called ReadyPixl, but any image editor works), trims excess, centers the design, adds padding so it's not jammed against the edges, and exports at the correct dimensions.
Keyword Generation + Validation
This is where the AI really shines. The agent:
- Analyzes the image to understand what it depicts
- Generates relevant keywords
- Goes to Amazon.com and types each keyword into the search bar
- Checks if the keyword appears in Amazon's autosuggest (e.g., "rock music shirt" shows up when you type it)
- Only uses keywords that Amazon validates
The creator showed his results: 17 out of 18 keywords validated. No random, AI-hallucinated keywords that nobody searches for. Every keyword in the listing is something real shoppers actually type.
Color Selection
Not every design works on every shirt color. The agent analyzes the image's color palette and picks complementary colors. A bright, colorful design might go on white, heather grey, and navy. A dark design goes on black and charcoal. This replaces the manual step of clicking through 15+ color options for each listing.
Upload
The agent navigates Amazon's Merch upload page, fills in every field (product type, title, bullets, description, colors, price), uploads the processed image, and submits. If the listing needs review, it leaves it in draft and moves to the next image.
The Teaching Phase
Here's the part most automation videos skip: the setup took hours, not minutes.
The creator walked his agent through every element on every page. "Can you see this button?" "Yeah, I see a button that says this." "Press it." And when it worked: "Log it. This is what that button does. This is why we use it."
Page by page, field by field, the agent learned what every element means. Not just where to click, but why. It knows that color selection matters because not every design works on every color. It knows that keyword validation matters because random keywords don't drive sales. It understands the business logic, not just the button locations.

- Queues seasonal designs with deadlines ("upload these Valentine's designs by October at the latest")
- Prioritizes anything you flag as a "trend" over the regular queue

What It Replaced
